- Selmer Paris -- my favorite saxes & jazz clarinets! : Selmer Paris saxes have been THE sax for years, including the "holy grail" of saxophones, the Mark VI! Selmer Paris clarinets have also long been the first choice of many jazz clarinetists. They also make the legendary S-80 C* ("C Star") mouthpiece, the mouthpiece most other manufacturers compare themselves to. I play the C* on alto & tenor saxes and bass clarinet.
